Starting from Athens in less
than an hour, you will be on the well-known bridge of the Isthmus of Corinth, which connects the Peloponnese with the rest of
Greece. The canal is artificial to
facilitate navigation. Peloponnese and the region of Argolida had and has an
active role in all the major events of ancient and modern Greece. In terms of
warfare, fearless and mighty kingdoms such as ancient Mycenae, and ancient
Tyrrindas famous theaters like the ancient theater of Epidaurus and the first capital of Greece Nafplion.

The theater of Epidavros or else
the Theater of Asklepieion were built around 340-330 BC. This unique monument
the finest and most famous ancient Greek Theater which combines elegance with
perfect acoustics according to Pausanias
was constructed by Polykleitos. The monument was constructed in honor of Asclepius (father of medicine) to be
performed by musicians, songwriters and dramatic races of Asclepius. Also there
were performances of dramas included in the Asclepius worship.

A few kilometers below, you will find the first capital of the Greek state
and the most charming city of the Peloponnese Nafplion,
with active participation in all the historical events of old and modern

from above climbing the 999 steps leading to the imposing Palamidi castle. In the beautiful and picturesque Nafplio, you will be given the opportunity
to walk to its paved alleys, browse the old town of Nafplio full of traditional taverns,
cafe-bars overlooking the imposing Bourtzi,
find yourself in the cobblestone Syntagma
Square and you will feel like you are in another era. Here is the Archaeological Museum, the Parliamentary house that housed the
first parliament of the free Greek state, the Old Mosque and the Museum of rosary. The alleys around
this street are full of Turkish fountains and Turkish baths and historical
churches, such as the Holy Temple of Saint Spyridon where Ioannis (Antonios) Kapodistrias the first prime minister of
Greece was murdered.  The seafront
promenade will be unforgettable with a view of Bourtzi. This whole region has a great history which is lost in the
Ages. 

Next to Nafplio is Mycenae.
During the second millennium BC, Mycenae was one of the largest centers of
Greek civilization, forming a strong military fortress that dominated most of
southern Greece and known as the city of the Lions and of King Agamemnon who lidded the Greeks in the famous war of Troy.

and inclined.  We recommend comfortable clothing and walking shoes,
preferably flat-soled.   For protection from the heat and sun, we strongly
suggest you wear a hat, sun glasses and sunscreen.

provide commentary and basic information only inside the vehicle and only when it is deemed safe to do so while driving.
