Starting from Athens in less
than an hour, you will be on the well-known bridge of the Isthmus of Corinth, which connects the Peloponnese with the rest of
Greece. The canal is artificial to
facilitate navigation. Peloponnese and the region of Argolida had and has an

The theater of Epidavros or else
the Theater of Asklepieion were built around 340-330 BC. This unique monument

was constructed by Polykleitos. The monument was constructed in honor of Asclepius (father of medicine) to be
performed by musicians, songwriters and dramatic races of Asclepius. Also there

and the most charming city of the Peloponnese Nafplion,

Square and you will feel like you are in another era. Here is the Archaeological Museum, the Parliamentary house that housed the
first parliament of the free Greek state, the Old Mosque and the Museum of rosary. The alleys around
this street are full of Turkish fountains and Turkish baths and historical
churches, such as the Holy Temple of Saint Spyridon where Ioannis (Antonios) Kapodistrias the first prime minister of
Greece was murdered. The seafront
promenade will be unforgettable with a view of Bourtzi. This whole region has a great history which is lost in the
Ages.
Next to Nafplio is Mycenae.
During the second millennium BC, Mycenae was one of the largest centers of
Greek civilization, forming a strong military fortress that dominated most of
southern Greece and known as the city of the Lions and of King Agamemnon who lidded the Greeks in the famous war of Troy.
