Itinerary

In the morning, meet your driver at your accommodation in Riviera Maya and head to Casa Cenote. Ideal for fans of underwater life, this long, narrow cenote is famous for myriads of little (guppies, platys, and mollies) and bigger fish (tarpans particularly) which you can see when swimming between its mangrove roots and rocks.

Once there, receive a safety and diving theory briefing from an experienced certified instructor onshore. Afterward, once ready and under the supervision of your dive master, do your first shallow-water submersion to familiarize yourself with this new environment. As soon as you feel comfortable, start exploring the cenote little by little (up to 12 m deep, about 30 minutes) under the careful supervision of your instructor. On your dive into the cenote’s crystal-clear emerald waters, explore a series of outstandingly beautiful natural caves hidden in the jungle, and see the play of light on the roots of mangrove forest, and huge rocks covered with mosses and green algae that decorate the bottom. This dive will definitely leave you with unique memories.

After a restful break and an optional lunch, gear up for an exhilarating open-water diving experience near the shore. With expert guidance, delve into the azure depths, encountering vibrant coral formations and an array of marine life. This dive invites you to be part of the delicate underwater ecosystem, connecting you to the mesmerizing world beneath the waves.

DEPARTURE LOCATION & TIME: Departure times can be adjusted per your request. Complimentary pickup and drop-off from Riviera Maya (Cancun-Tulum zone) are included: please indicate the time and location for a pick-up during your booking (e.g. in the "Special Requirements" field). Our guide will pick you up from your accommodation at the requested time and might need to contact you by phone. Therefore, please kindly provide a valid phone number during your booking. 

TOUR DURATION & CUSTOMIZATION: The standard duration of the tour count from the moment of pickup till drop-off. At the same time, the tour is customizable which means we can adjust the time you spend in each destination. Also, if you want to visit an extra location (attraction/restaurant/market, etc.), you can do it on a complimentary basis if this visit (1) fits the default duration of the tour &  (2) doesn't involve a major change of the route. Other changes such as extending the duration of the tour, changing the route & adding extra participants, should be communicated to the Company at least 48 hours before the tour and might involve an extra fee.

WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU: Comfortable clothes & shoes; hat/cap, sunglasses & sunscreen; swimming suit & towel; travel insurance; good mood & curiosity.

Notes

• PHYSICAL CONDITION: Travelers should have a basic physical condition. Diving within 24 hours of flying is not recommended; also, avoid flying at least 24 after your dive. Some pre-existing medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart conditions, etc.) may prevent you from diving, thus please kindly consult your doctor before booking this tour.




• AGE: minimum 10 years for diving in a cenote and 12 years for an open-water dive.




• WEATHER: Subject to favorable weather. If canceled due to poor weather conditions, an alternative date or a full refund will be offered.




• VEHICLE: The type of vehicle depends on the size of your group and may include a car, 7-seater, or minivan.
