Day 7: Departure

Day 1: Arrival in Cape Coast
Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Meet your guide for a welcome orientation. The rest of the day will be at your own leisure. Overnight in Cape-Coast hotel.Day 2: Elmina Castle and Others
After breakfast, head to Kakum National Park and enjoy a guided walk through the forest. Deemed as the best preserved region of virgin rainforest in the country, Kakum National Park provides the easiest access to the rainforest along with its famed canopy walkway. Stop by Posuban Military Shrine before going to Cape Coast Castle, one of the slave castles that served as prisons and embarkation points for slaves en route to the Americas, and get a glimpse of how slaves lived. Continue to Elmina Castle, also known as St. George’s Castle, and see the first trading post built on the Gulf of Guinea. Day 3: Kumasi City Tour
Today, drive through the forest zone to Kumasi. Visit Manhyia Palace Museum and get an insight into the culture of Ashantiland and Ghana’s cultural legacy before its colonisation by Great Britain. See different monuments dedicated to the memory of great Ashanti people as you drive through the city. Continue to National Cultural Center, featuring the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum and various studios of batik makers, brass makers, and potters, before heading to Ahwiaa (Wood Carvers’ Village) and Bonwire (Kente Weaving Village).Overnight in Kumasi hotel.
Day 4: Akosombo
Depart from Kumasi and enjoy a picturesque drive to Akosombo. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel before embarking to a delightful tour of Akosombo Dam. Day 5: Volta River Boat Cruise
Head to Akosombo Port and embark on a cruise at Lake Volta, the largest man-made lake in the world. Day 6: Accra City Tour
Start your day with a drive to Accra. After you check in at the hotel, kick off your sightseeing tour of Accra with a drive through the administrative and economic districts of the city. Visit W.E.B. Du Bois Memorial Centre for Pan African Culture, a memorial place, research facility, and tourist attraction named in dedication to W.E.B. Du Bois, before going to Independence Square. This public square, also known as Black Star Square, is currently the site for all civic and military parades in Ghana. Drop by Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and get to know one of the most prominent Ghanaian president.Day 7: Departure
Enjoy last minute shopping at Accra Shopping Mall, Sun Trade Mawuli, Aid to Artisan, Okudzeto, or Arts Centre until transfer to airport.
