Itinerary 

In the morning, meet your guide at your accommodation and then head to Coyoacan, one of the most beautiful areas in Mexico City. Walk down its lively cobblestone streets and see its well-preserved colonial-era buildings that once were noble Spanish houses.

Later, at the Frida Kahlo Museum learn some relevant fun facts about Frida’s childhood, family, and friends, as well as the accident that changed her life. And, while looking at her artworks, get from your guide fascinating insights into some of her most famous paintings.

Then, visit Diego Rivera’s House Estudio located in the nearby neighborhood San Angel. Admire the functionalist-style ornamentation of this house, visible in each room as well as in its modern façade, while hearing stories about Diego’s life as an artist and also as a person.

Finally, after an optional lunch, stop at the Anahuacalli Museum to see its unique building inspired by pre-Columbian architecture. Once inside, have a look at the amazing collection of pre-Hispanic sculptures that Rivera preserved in life.

After a day full of discoveries, return to our vehicle and relax on the way back to your accommodation.

• TOUR DURATION AND CUSTOMIZATION: The standard duration of the Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo tour in Mexico City is 9 h from the moment of a meetup. At the same time, it is customizable, so we can adjust the time you spend at each destination. For example, if you want to visit an extra location (attraction/restaurant/market, etc.), you can do it on a complimentary basis if this visit (1) still fits the total duration of the tour and (2) doesn't involve a change of the route (on our way).
• TRANSPORT: Complimentary pick-up/drop-off is included: please indicate the exact time and location for your pick-up during your booking (e.g. in the "Special Requirements" field). We can pick you up from the following parts of Mexico City: Reforma, Polanco, Condesa, Roma, Centro Historico; other more remote locations might involve an extra fee.
• WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU: Comfortable clothes and shoes;  hat/cap, sunglasses, and sunscreen; travel insurance; good mood and curiosity.

• Due to their limited availability, tickets to Frida Kahlo Museum (“Casa Azul”) need to be booked by us at least 1 week before the tour. If you book your tour with a shorter anticipation, please inquire about the availability before the booking. Suppose this is not done and we are not able to procure the tickets, a visit to Frida Kahlo Museum will be substituted with Museo Casa Estudio Diego Rivera y Frida Kahlo without prior notice.
