Discovery Walk in The Hague’s Zeeheldenkwartier and historic center

Intrigued by The Hague’s naval history? On this interactive walk, you’ll get to know curious stories of het Zeeheldenkwrartier (Naval Heroes district) - and experience its irresistible charm by yourself too! Starting with admiring the Biennenhof, you’ll follow in the footsteps of an enthusiastic local couple, Kristiaan and Yentl. They created this trail (and amazing location-specific riddles!) for you to enjoy their favourite spots, such as a huge food and drink market, a secret royal garden, and… well, that’s for you to discover!

This playful walk across The Hague’s charming Naval Quarter sharpens your senses and encourages you to appreciate the most wonderful – and often hidden – details around you. Whether you know the city or just start exploring here, this experience gives you a perspective on discovery that will inspire your curiosity wherever you go next.

This discovery walk is an educational and fun activity for friends, couples, families with kids, curious locals, visitors, and team building. You can fully enjoy this experience of connecting with the city while staying in your own group.

Experience Instructions:

Start at Pathé buitenhof. We do not meet you at the start location, you will receive all information via email from us.
End on Lange Voorhout, the most beautiful avenue of The Hague, lined with by nice cafes and restaurants. This is close to the starting point.

Play 7 days a week, between sunrise and sunset. Start playing at least 2 hours before sunset.

• This is a self-guided city discovery experience

• You can play in a team of 1–5 people

• Right after booking, you receive the play link to the City Trail (sent by email from Secret City Trails)

• This trail is available in English and Dutch

• The link is valid for 90 days, starting on the date you booked the activity for

• Discover the city at your own pace, take as many breaks as you like

• You need internet connection and a little data. You'll play on your browser. No app download is needed.
