Let yourself be enchanted by the picturesque canals and admire the characteristic facades whispering stories from bygone times  Along the way, learn about the stories of the city and its inhabitants.

This playful alternative walk across Amsterdam’s city centre sharpens your senses and encourages you to appreciate the most wonderful – and often hidden – details around you. Whether you know Amsterdam or just start exploring here, this experience gives you a perspective on discovery that will inspire your curiosity wherever you go next.

Local wonders you’ll discover on this walk include:

• Nieuwmarkt and the old city gate

• The famous Rembrandt Huis

• The Waterlooplein flea market

• Strolling along the gorgeous Amstel riverside

• The Mozes and Aäron church

• The National Monument at de Dam

This discovery walk is an educational and fun activity for friends, couples, families with kids, curious locals, visitors, and team building. You can fully enjoy this experience of connecting with the city while staying in your own group.

Experience Instructions:

Start in front of Cafe de Waag on Nieuwmarkt. We do not meet you at the start location, you will receive all information via email from us.
End at de Zeedijk, at 100m from the starting point
Play 7 days a week, starting between 9:00 and 15:00 at the latest.

Important information:

• This is a self-guided city discovery experience

• You can play in a team of 1–5 people

• Right after booking, you receive the play link to the City Trail (sent by email from Secret City Trails)

• This trail is available in English and Dutch

• The link is valid for 90 days, starting on the date you booked the activity for

• Discover the city at your own pace, take as many breaks as you like

• You need internet connection and a little data. You'll play on your browser. No app download is needed.
