Itinerary

Day 1: Toronto

Welcome to Toronto, Canada's largest city as well as its economic and financial capital. Arrive at any time and meet your travel mates and Tour Leader in the evening: welcome meeting, optional dinner & get-together in one of the local restaurants.

Day 2: Toronto

Walking tour around the city during the day. Optional dinner & get-together with the rest of the group in the evening.

Day 3: Toronto - Niagara-on-the-Lake - Niagara Falls - Kingston

Go to admire the power of  Niagara Falls, visit picturesque Niagara-on-the-Lake Victorian-time town, and, finally, enjoy the evening beauty of the first capital of Canada - Kingston. Accommodation, optional dinner & get-together with the rest of the group in the evening.

Day 4: Kingston - Thousand Islands National Park - Ottawa

After a walking tour around the historic center of Kingston, visit of Fort Henry National Historic Site, and optional cruise around Thousand Islands National Park we will go to Ottawa - political capital of the country. Accommodation, optional dinner & get-together with the rest of the group in the evening.

Day 5: Ottawa - Trois-Rivières - Quebec City

This day after a walking tour around Ottawa, we will hit a historic King's Road (stopping by in Trois-Rivières for an orientation walk & optional lunch) to reach Quebec City in the evening. Accommodation, optional dinner & get-together with the rest of the group in the evening.

Day 6: Quebec City

You will have the whole day to explore all parts of this wonderful UNESCO-listed city: morning visit to nearby Montmorency Falls & Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré Shrine, afternoon walking tour around the historic center of Quebec City, optional dinner & get-together with the rest of the group in the evening.

Day 7: Quebec City - Montreal

In the morning, we will move to Montreal. The second-largest city in Canada, it is rich in culture and history and has a well-deserved reputation as one of the liveliest cities in North America. Upon arrival and check-in, join your Tour Leader for a walking tour around the city. The free afternoon program, optional farewell dinner & get-together with the rest of the group in the evening.

Day 8: Montreal

This is the last day of our "Canada: Across Ontario & Quebec Tour"- decide for yourself when to leave. If you decide to extend your vacations, we can always book you extra nights, or even take you on our next adventure.

Logistics

  • ACCOMMODATIONS: We will send you an exact list of accommodations together with trip notes 2 weeks before the departure date. All accommodations are centrally located, tourist-class, locally-owned properties with private facilities in each room. We can arrange pre- & post-tour accommodations but not earlier than 2 weeks before the departure when we send you final trip notes. 
  • ROOMS: Group Tour for 1 person with accommodations in Shared Twin Rooms mean you will stay with another co-traveler of the same gender: a savvier option designed specifically for solo travelers.
    Most Triple Rooms have 2 separate beds from which at least one is king- or queen-size and are for 2 people; if Triple Room is not available on a particular day of the tour, you might be provided with 1 double/twin and 1 single room instead (based on availability and cannot be guaranteed). Most Quad Rooms have 2 separate king- or queen-size beds - each for 2 people; if Quad Room is not available on a particular day, you might be provided with 2 double/twin rooms instead (based on availability and cannot be guaranteed).
  • PHYSICAL CONDITION: This tour involves a decent amount of walking. Therefore, travelers should have moderate physical fitness condition.
  • ACTIVITIES: Participation in all activities is optional - just be sure to be in time for daily departures.
  • WHAT TO TAKE WITH YOU: Comfortable clothes & shoes; a small backpack for daily tours; hat/cap, sunglasses & sunscreen; travel insurance; good mood & curiosity.
  • PRICING: The price of the tour/person depends on the number of travelers & room option you choose. 
  • GROUP VS. PRIVATE TOUR: Group Tour: take a trip with other travelers. Private Tour: take a trip on your own, with friends, couple, or family. While offering more privacy and exclusivity such tours may cost more than group ones. If you wanna take a private tour with a group that is bigger than 4, please contact us and we will send you a personalized offer. For private tours, the dates of departure (and in some cases the itinerary & activities) can be customized to your request.
