Embark on a delectable Gourmet Tour of Singapore
and Malaysia. Savour diverse flavours as you explore bustling street markets,
relish the rich heritage of Peranakan cuisine and indulge in culinary
adventures that range from mouthwatering street food in Penang to upscaling
dining in Singaproe. This epicurean journey promises a feast for the senses


DAY 01: Arrival in Singapore:

After passing through customs and baggage
collection at Singapore airport, we will be greeted by a representative from Asian
Vistas and transferred to our hotel.

The afternoon is free to relax or explore the surrounding area. We meet
in the hotel lobby and are taken to a local hawker market for our first taste
of the culinary delights of Singapore

(Note: for late arrivals you will be taken
straight to your hotel for the night)

Day 02: Singapore :

We start the day with a traditional Chinese
porridge for breakfast before making way to Sri Mariamman Temple then to the Buddha
Tooth Relic Temple and Museum. We then head to Joo Chit where we stop for
coffee whilst we walk amongst the Peranakan Style Terrance houses. Our Lunch is
a spectacular set menu at Jumbo Seafood which includes their famous award
winning Chilli Crab.

After lunch we make our way to Marina Sans Complex
and visit the gardens by the bay before heading to the Sky Park observation
deck to watch the sunset over a glass of champagne.

We end the day with a visit to Lau Pa Sat Hawker
Centre for a feast of Satay and local beer.

DAY 03: Singapore - Malacca :

This morning we visit
Little India and what better way to start than a South Asian breakfast of Dosa,
Idli and Vadai. This sets us up wander the streets of Little India, visiting
temples, the Indian heritage and Mustafa Centres.

Next, we cross the Rochor
river to visit Kampong Glam. Once a bustling trading hub for Arab merchants,
this neighbourhood now combines Malay and Arab influences. We stroll along the
vibrant streets adorned with colourful shophouses, art galleries, boutiques,
and street art stopping for a light Arab inspired lunch before making our way
to the bus depot.

We arrive late into
Malacca, check into our hotel, then make our way to Jonker Night Market to
sample the delicious street food.

 Day 04: Malacca :

I just love the name
of the place that we have breakfast today “Limbongan Hailam Kopitiam Hainan
Coffee”, it’s worth eating here just for the name, but its also one of the best
spots in town for a traditional Malakan breakfast.

Malacca, a city
steeped in history, boasts an array of captivating cultural sites. We will explore
St Paul's Hill, with its colonial-era ruins church, Dutch Square with Christ
Church, A Formosa, St Francis Xavier Statue and the old Dutch graveyard before visiting
the Melaka Sultanate Palace. We the cross the river for Nyonya lunch then dive
into the Peranakan heritage at the Baba & Nyonya Heritage Museum. Each site
narrates a different chapter of Malacca’s rich history.

We then make our way
to Kuala Lumpur via bus, check into our hotel and relax before heading out for
another late-night dinner along Jalan Alor.

Day 05: Kuala Lumpur Cultural Experience:

We start our morning
with a breakfast of Roti Canai adjacent to KL’s Central Market, then visit the
bustling hub which showcases Malaysian culture through a myriad of stalls. From
local crafts to traditional food, it's a cultural treasure trove. We then make
our way to Merdeka Square, or Independence Square, the historic landmark where
Malaysia's independence was declared. It's surrounded by colonial-era
architecture, making it a symbol of national pride. Today we enjoy lunch with a
panoramic view over Kuala Lumpur, before heading back to the hotel for a dip in
the roof top pool.

Late in the afternoon
we make our way to Merdeka 118 the world’s second tallest skyscraper for the
sunset view before stopping off in Chinatown for some market shopping an a
streetside BBQ dinner.

Day 06: Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh :

 This morning we pack
our bags and check out before we make our way to Batu Caves a revered Hindu pilgrimage site featuring massive limestone caves and
adorned with colourful temples and vibrant celebrations. On the way we stop for
a Chinese style breakfast.

We then make our way
to the city of Ipoh where we indulge in its signature dish Hainan Chicken Rice
and explore historic concubine lane. If time permits we’ll visit the Han Chin
Pet Soo museum.

Tonight, we venture out
for a local hawker centre for more delectable delights. Make sure you leave
some room for Malaysia’s famous Chendol.

 

 

Overnight: Ipoh

Lunch

 

Day 7: Ipoh to Penang:

This morning we head
out for breakfast and Ipoh’s famous coffee before making our way to Ipoh
historical railway station.

We then catch a train
to Penang, check into our hotel and then hit the streets for some Penang Laksa.

After lunch we stroll
along the streets enjoying the local street art and snacks.

Tonight we head to New
Lane for dinner where the toughest choice will be  Satay, Char Kway Teow or more delicious
Laksa.

Day 8: Penang:

This morning we visit the
Clan Jetties, Peranakan Mansion, Khoo Kongsi and Fort Cornwallis. This
afternoon we make our way to Penang hill for some relief from the heat and see
the panoramic views across Penang straits to the mainland and visit Kek Lok Si
Temple one of Sout East Asia’s largest Buddhist temples.

Tonight, we head to
Gurney Road Hawker Market for another feasting of Nyonya cuisine.

Day 9: Departure

Today is the official
last day or our unforgettable gourmet journey through Singapore and Malaysia.

For those heading home
we check out after breakfast and make our way to Bayan Lepas International
Airport and our onwards flights.

For those who have
chosen to stay either in Penang or Langkawi, arrangements will be made for you
to get to you next transportation.
