Open-air show, in the magnificent garden of the Pavillon Vendôme, in the heart of Aix en Provence, the artist will stage 2 famous Provence stories that will bring you in the heart of the region : 

  • Mr Seguin's Goat by Alphonse Daudet, a philosophical and humorous tale for young and old. 
  • The Man Who Planted Trees (The Man Who Planted Trees) by Jean Giono, a poetic short story full of wisdom, featuring Elzéard Bouffier, the mythical tree-planter and internationally famous hero.

In a magnificent setting: the park of the Pavillon Vendôme in the heart of Aix-en-Provence, two plays are performed, followed by a guided walk through the typical streets of Aix-en-Provence.


The show features these two famous Provençal plays:

  • Mr Seguin's Goat by Alphonse Daudet, a humorous, philosophical children's tale for young and old alike. Blanquette is bored in the meadow and dreams of going off into the mountains. But the wolf is prowling up there. Will she choose the tranquillity of the meadow or climb to the heights, risking her life?
  • The Man Who Planted Trees by Jean Giono. An ode to life and nature, this story tells of shepherd Elzéard Bouffier, who revives his region by planting trees. Poetic and optimistic, this text restores faith in humanity. Written in 1953, it was a worldwide success and has become an ecological anthem.
