TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1: Lusaka, Zambia
When you arrive at Lusaka International Airport, your guide will be waiting with a sign, and you will be directly transferred to your accommodation for the night, Mukambi Safari Lodge. Mukambi Safari Lodge is located on the banks of the Kafue River and offers spectacular views of the river. For your afternoon activity, a sunset boat cruise awaits and your dinner will be back at the lodge after the cruise.

Day 2: Lower Zambezi Valley, Zambia
After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, you will be having a briefing regarding all the safety procedures before your canoe safari, make sure to pack lightly, gear up, and let your canoe adventure begin.
You will start off in Kafue River then heads towards Lower Zambezi where you will find different species of birds and mammals by the banks. Make sure to have a keen for hippos and crocodiles as they will be your river companions. A camp assistant will be preparing your an hour or 2 for lunch, have plenty of rest on your short break on an island by the river.

Stomachs full and well-rested your paddle journey to Mayukuyuku Bush Camp or something similar will start. Take a rest and settle down, there's still time for fishing and a tour in the camp. Dinner will be served at the camp.

Day 3: Lower Zambezi Valley, Zambia

Today after a hearty breakfast, we embark on the final day of canoeing on this adventurous safari.
We will paddle our canoes into the heart of the valley admiring the beautiful surrounding scenery. Your lunch and siesta will be by the banks of the river then you will move on to a private island and experience the thrill of fly camping.
This is as authentic as it gets on safari with a crackling campfire and a night sleeping under the stars, all setup and catered by our camp crew whilst guests relax after a tiring day.

Day 4: Lower Zambezi National Park, Zambia

Today it's time for something different which means an early wake-up and some coffee or tea and rusks before we set out on a wildlife viewing drive in the Lower Zambezi National Park. We will take a packed breakfast with us so we have a full morning of wildlife viewing. This secluded park is known for its huge wildlife population which roams freely around the unfenced safari camps. UNESCO has named several areas of the park World Heritage sites due mainly to its exceptional concentration of wildlife.
Here you will find huge herds of elephant and buffalo, the predators are here in abundance too and in the gently flowing river are the hippos and crocodiles. All too soon it is time to head back to camp and lunch.
In the afternoon we take a boat cruise to Gwabi where we spend the night at a lodge. After dinner, we drink a farewell toast to what has been a remarkable, unforgettable adventure.

Day 5: Gwabi to Lusaka, Zambia

Sadly, after breakfast this morning, this amazing experience comes to an end, as we gather our gear and take our transfer back to Lusaka, where we say farewell to our guide and fellow travelers.
