Get up close and personal with Amsterdam’s city centre and experience the authentic local spots. This discovery trail, created by our co-founders Kristina & Wendy, uses location-based riddles to guide your exploration playfully. Along the way, you’ll learn about the history of the Red Light District, wander the canal belt, admire its facades from different perspectives, and search for curious statues. You’ll also unlock recommendations for cosy cafes where you can treat yourself to a nice break.
This playful walk across Amsterdam’s vibrant centre sharpens your senses and encourages you to appreciate the most wonderful – and often hidden – details around you. Whether you know Amsterdam or just start exploring here, this experience gives you a perspective on discovery that will inspire your curiosity wherever you go next.

This discovery walk is an educational and fun activity for friends, couples, curious locals, visitors, and team building. You can fully enjoy this experience of connecting with the city while staying in your own group.
Experience Instructions:
Start in front of The Waag Society/Cafe de Waag, on the Nieuwmarkt. We do not meet you at the start location, you will receive all information via email from us.
End near Spui, from where it is a 10-minute walk back to the start.
Play 7 days a week, starting between 11:00 and 14:30

• You can play in a team of 1–5 people
• Right after booking, you receive the play link to the City Trail (sent by email from Secret City Trails)
• This trail is available in English
• The link is valid for 90 days, starting on the date you booked the activity for

• You need internet connection and a little data. You'll play on your browser. No app download is needed.
